A really interesting piece. I also adore Notting Hill Farmers Market and have seen Elizabeth shopping (and chatting) there. This is the nearest thing I know to the lovely weekly markets in most French/Italian towns and large villages - I wish we had some like this in the north midlands. If I'm in London and I don't get to this market then my weekend is incomplete. Some things may be expensive (but not all); however the freshness means there is far less food wastage so it all evens out. Great article.
